Empowered Nurse Leaders is a globalĀ movement dedicated to transforming the way nurse leaders rise, lead, and sustain themselves in a demanding healthcare landscape. Our work was born from a deep recognition of the silent crisis in nursing leadership; burnout, fractured boundaries, and outdated leadership models that drain energy and diminish confidence. Too many nurse leaders carry the weight of entire systems while sacrificing their own well-being, leaving them exhausted and unseen.
We created Empowered Nurse Leaders to change that narrative. I am Dr. Terry Carter, nurse executive, leadership strategist, and founder of Empowered Nurse Leaders. Having lived the realities of burnout and boundary challenges in leadership, I created ENL to equip nurse leaders with tools, strategies, and community to lead boldly and sustainably. Through the Summit, Sanctum, and Studium, I help nurse leaders reclaim energy, embody resilience, and redefine leadershipā€”leaving a legacy of brilliance and impact.
