Dr. Terry Carter is a global nurse executive, leadership strategist, and Founder & CEO of Empowered Nurse Leaders™. With more than two decades of leadership experience across healthcare systems and cultures, her work is centered on advancing sustainable leadership and strengthening the conditions that allow nurse leaders to lead fully and remain whole.
Through Empowered Nurse Leaders™, Dr. Carter has developed an integrated body of leadership formation, education, research, community, and practical frameworks organized around the Three Conditions of Sustainable Leadership™—Clarity, Capacity, and Continuity. Her work equips nurse leaders to strengthen professional authority, protect human capacity, develop others, and build leadership that can endure across roles, organizations, and generations.
